Welcome to 1st Grade!
Hello and Welcome to All My First Grade Families!
I am very excited to start the new school year and am thrilled that I have your child in my class. I absolutely love teaching 1st grade. It is a joy to watch your children learn and grow throughout the year.
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself. I graduated from Bay Port in 1996. I have my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I also have a Masters Degree in Reading Language Arts. In between staying home with my children for several years, I have taught 4K, Kindergarten and 1st grade. This will be my tenth year teaching 1st grade at Forest Glen and my 18th year teaching. I live here in Howard with my husband Eric. We have two kids; Lilly will be in 11th grade and Henry will be in 9th grade at Bay Port. We also have a miniature poodle named Archie.
